A NOTE ABOUT OUR BUTTERS ...
Our Whipped Butters are high in natural butters and oils and will be a semi-soft solid at room temperature that melts when applied to the warm skin. We check every product before it is packed for shipping, and wrap our delicate products in bubble wrap and/or cooling packs to help insulate them and ensure that they arrive to you as best we can. But please understand, there is no way we can control the high heat your butters may come in contact with inside of trucks and mailboxes during warmer weather.
We're dedicated to keeping our products free from unnecessary, harmful chemicals, so we do not use stabilizers or beeswax in our whipped butters. Our butters are packaged in plastic jars and are sensitive to temperature changes and may soften or melt during shipping. We use more protective packaging during the warmer months in an effort to make sure our products arrive safely, but unfortunately melting is a natural reaction to heat.
Here are some tips and tricks to keep your whipped butter in perfect condition!
What to do about melting …
In warmer weather, it’s best to refrigerate BEFORE opening your whipped butter in case melting has occurred.
Whipping natural butters adds air, lightens the density and changes the texture of natural butters, but please remember, that the quality and properties of our products are not affected by melting but the whipped consistency will change and become more like a body balm. Also remember that if a whipped product melts, the air bubbles are collapsed, so the volume will decrease. Although your jar was filled to the top before shipping, there will be less volume in the container if melting occurs. The container may actually look half full. You may scoop out the butter out of the jar after it has become very cold and whip it back up with an electric beater, but this is not necessary to get the incredible benefits from our whipped butters and scrubs.
